PREPARATION OF SOIL

 It is the first step of the production of the  crop

 It is required for

• Root penetration: Before adding seeds to soil, it is must to turn the soil and loosen it. This allows the roots to penetrate deep into the soil.
• Growth of Earthworms and microbes: The loosened soil helps in the growth of earthworms and microbes which are friends of the farmer and add humus to it.
• Bringing of soil up: turning and loosening of soil also brings the nutrient-rich soil to the top so that plants can use these nutrients. 

Process of loosening of the soil is known as flowing ploughing.
